I have a 2d Model with constant hydrograph and constant sediment input (sediment discharge).
The model works well when the input string corresponds to the string of the water inflow at the model boundary. I get reasonable results, but I want to shift the sediment input about 400m downstream towards my model focus to save computational time.
When I change the sediment input to a string further downstream of the water inflow, the sediment hydrography is not read properly such that the sediment input stays 0.
I tried several strings with different lengths of nodes, but none of them worked. I tried to make as straight strings as possible. They were always in fully wetted elements.
I also tried an input as external source. The sediment discharge was then correct, but all the material piled up at the source elements to several meters, which leads me to another problem...
Can you help me with this?

Hi Sas,
The sediment input string should be located at the boundary and can be shorter than the hydraulic input string.
For the external source inside the domain I would suggest you to distribute the sediment input over several element ids.
In the next release you will be able to add the sediment over material index.
Hope this helps!
Best regards, Lukas
