BASEMENT Version 4.2

Dear Users of BASEMENT,

This major release introduces several new features, model enhancements, and performance improvements. Key highlights include the LAGRANGIAN module in BASEHPC for simulating the transport of particulate substances using particle tracking, the MASSMOVEMENT module for simulating tsunamis generated by subaqueous landslides, and hydraulic boundary conditions for wave generation.

Since this version also includes some bug fixes, we recommend all users to update their program as well as the user manual to version 4.2. We kindly ask you to test your models with this version and give feedback if the program exhibits unexpected behavior. Changes compared to previous versions can be tracked in the Release Notes 4.2.

The newest version of the software system BASEMENT is available as free download on our website https://basement.ethz.ch/.
