Hi there,
I am reporting here a problem I am facing in getting BASEMENT 3.0 to work.
System specifics:
Desktop: Dell Precision 3630 Tower
processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz
RAM: 32 GB
OS: Windows 10 Pro
Version: 1903
Build: 18362.592
Graphic card:
model: Nvidia Quadro P620
compute capability: 6.1
clock rate: 1354 MHz
multiprocessor: 4
threads per multiproc.: 2048
driver version: 441.66
Driver Dll version: 10.20 (26.21.14.4166)
runtime Dll version: 6.50
Unfortunately when I go to the simulation block, the Hih-performance Hardware choice is greyed out and I can't select the GPU to perform the calculation.
I am trying to solve the problem, as soon as I do so I'll post my solution. In the mean time, if anyone has an idea, post it here, thanks!
Cheers

Hi Matteo
So far, the cuda backends for GPU-computing are only available on Ubuntu. The greying out in the GUI under Windows 10 is done on purpose. GPU support under Windows is in progress though

Ah-ha!
Thanks, Matthias! Looking forward to it

The version 3 represents a radical shift from v 2.8. The user community would be better served if a video tutorial is made available to explain the simulation setup under windows for V. 3.

Dear sajjad
The System Manual of BASEMENT provides an overview of the available features (e.g. in the migration guide), describes the new, customizable workflow and gives examples of what the input files should look like. Furthermore, the new graphical user interface guides the user through the process of setting up and running a simulation.
The substantial changes between version 2.8 to 3.x were necessary for the significant improvement in performance.
Best regards
Matthias
