Lateral weir in basechain

Hi,

I am interested in simulating a side weir in basement 1d version. However, as per my understanding, it is not possible as inner_boundary (weir) only works in the flow direction and not sideways in the basechain.

In fact, i need something like 'off-channel' or 'qlateral' available in source block but I also need basement to solve weir equation over the edges which it does not in the source block.

Would like more learned to guide me by confirming or denying what i just stated.
