Dear Sir,
I am trying to install Basement version 2.8.2 under Windows 11 and it is not working throwing up message "Missing VCOMP140.dll file. Reinstalling may solve this issue". Reinstalled windows no of times to no avail. I noted that this version is for Windows 10.
Kindly guide to solve this problem.

I think this should be solved by installing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2013 and Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019.

I tried all such solutions but failed to install it under Windows 11.

Did you try uninstall and freshly install BASEMENT, after installing the two mentioned Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2013 and Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019?
Also try do a restart after installing the Redistributables and before re-installing BASEMENT. If this still does not work, try to also install the most recent Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Version
If this still does not solve the issue, I would try to install both the c_redist.x86.exe and the vc_redist.x64.exe.
If this still does not solve the issue, try to uninstall all installed versions of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio, freshly install them, and then try to install BASEMENT again.

The matter has been resolved by installing vcredist_x64.exe. Earlier I was installing a newer version of this executable which was not working but when i installed the 2013 version, it worked. Thanks for your valuable advice.
