Sink feature in a ditch

Hi everyone,

I am modeling a ditch characterized by an irregular bed and an average slope of 0,05-0,1%, which from time to time is also negative.
Before the end of my domain there is a pump, used to lower the ditch level, which I simulated with the feature „sink“. I run simulations with the same inflow input and different sink-discharge but I could not really see a difference in the results. Could anyone give me some advice on how to use the sink? For example is it better to extend the sink on more elements?

Thank you very much

Re: Sink feature in a ditch

Hi Nicola,

have you run some "extreme" tests, like e.g. extracting all the water with the sink?
