Dear Users
BASEmesh version 1.4.4 is available as experimental plugin for QGIS version 2.x.
Changelog:
New user interface for generation of large mesh which skips the generation of shapefiles during the quality meshing process.
The plugin can be updated via the BASEmesh repository.

Hi Matthias,
I tried to install the BASEmesh 1.4.4 plugin on QGIS 2.18.4, but no success.
I get the following error when trying to load the repository via the URL http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~basement/qgis … /BASEmesh/:
"Error reading the repository: BASEmesh
Server response is 200 OK, but doesn't contain plugin metadata. This is most likely
caused by a proxy or a wrong repository URL. You can configure proxy settings in QGIS
options."
However, I have not set any proxy settings in QGIS.
This error was reproduced on a second PC with the same QGIS version.
Any hints?
Best
David

Hi dazzle
I was having issues with this too. The thing is v1.4.4 is classified as an "experimental" version in the metadata. Therefore it doesn't list automatically in the repository. The following should solve your problem:
1. Open the plugin manager in QGIS
2. Add the BASEmesh repository (copy this exact address): http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~basement/qgis … lugins.xml
3. Go to "settings" in the plugin manager
4. Check the box "show experimental plugins"
5. go back to the BASEmesh plugin - v1.4.4 should now show and you should be able to install
Hope this helps.
