BASEmesh on QGIS 3.6?

Hello,

just to ask if there will be any news on BASEmesh update to run on QGIS 3.6...?

(btw sorry for the topics on the forum, I am actually using BASEMENT very regularly and these versions update on BASEMENT, QGIS and Crayfish are a bit "challenging")

Hi João,

sorry for the silly reply, but: do you really need QGIS 3.6?

I use QGIS 2.18 with BaseMesh and CrayFish both on MacOS and Ubuntu and it works amazingly!

Unless you really need QGIS 3.6, I suggest you to stick to the good ol' 2.x

Hi,

I understand your point... if it works on 2.x version, why to upload? Well, since crayfish plugin has updated to work on v3.6 and the MDAL functionality can read BASEMENT output files (*.sol), I've wondered if the BASEmesh plugin would also upgrade to this new version... it makes sense, I guess!

I was just asking, if this is not planned... we'll keep using the old version...

Hello,

recently BASEmesh 1.4.5 for QGIS versions 3.x. is released.
I can Install Basemesh on QGIS 3.4.15 but when I want to load BASEmesh, I get the following error message:

Konnte Erweiterung 'BASEmesh' nicht laden aufgrund eines Fehlers beim Aufruf der classFactory() Methode

ImportError: cannot import name 'QgsMapLayerType' from 'qgis.core' (C:/PROGRA~1/QGIS3~1.4/apps/qgis-ltr/./python\qgis\core\__init__.py)

Maybe someone here can help?

Hi Andreas

BASEmesh 1.4.5 was tested on QGIS version 3.10. I think an upgrade of your QGIS version to at least 3.10 should fix the problem.

It seems that there have been some changes within QGIS 3.x that make BASEmesh 1.4.5 incompatible with version previous to 3.10.
