Cross section visualisation

Hi everybody,
the HSR scripts for 1D longitudal profile visualisation are very useful. However, as stated already before, the versions have not gotten any update for a long time and I'm missing some similar possibility for plotting cross sections.

Before starting to script something myself, I wanted to ask if some scripts for this purpose already exist at HSR or VAW or from any other user?
