Dear Adnan,
if you click on the question mark inside basement software you will get good information about everything that concerns the software.
About your second question: tecplot output are optimized for tecplot, but they are in .dat format, which means you can open them with whatever text/spreadsheet editor.
Please take a look at the manual and run the tutorials.

thanx dear matteo for the reply
may be i couldn't explain my problem very well .
actually all i want a way to visualize my model results in one window . my model is urban flooding model with 1-d coupling between the channels
so the result is every channel is its own out file .
is there any way so that i can visualize all the results of all the channels in one window time vs discharge and time vs depth .etc
hope i explained my question very well now

Dear Matteo
thanks for the reply .
yes my model is coupled 1-d one-way .
so coupled model results of all the channels can be viewed in crayfish (qgis) in one window ?
what output options i have to select to generate the file that supports crayfish ?
regards

Dear Adnan,
here some general comments regarding visualization of BASEMENT results. Visualization of time depending results in QGIS using the Crayfish plugin is only possible for 2D results. For this case, there will soon be a post-processing tutorial available on our homepage.
However, there is no predefined tool for the post-processing of 1D results available at present. Since the 1D result are written to text files you can use any spreadsheet software or scripting language e.g. python or matlab to process your results.
